Roya Rastegar Sani 

Singapore

Born in 1983, Roya Rastegar Sani holds a bachelor's degree in computer science and a master's degree in executive management (MBA). Despite her formal education, her passion for painting, nurtured from childhood, leading her to pursue art under the mentorship of esteemed professors such as Ali Akbar Beigi, Rahim Navessi, Naeimi, and Maryam Mir Sadraie. Specialising in styles including hyperrealism, realism, and miniature painting.

Her work is deeply inspired by the rich history and culture of Iran, particularly the traditional Iranian tile work, which she skillfully blends with modern female figures. This fusion creates a unique dialogue between tradition and modernity, weaving endless stories through her art. Predominantly using oil paints, Roya believes in the harmonious relationship between paintings and architectural design, aiming to craft artistic pieces that are both creative and enjoyable. Her use of traditional symbols combined with modern techniques reflects a complex reality, inviting viewers to introspect and explore deeper aspects of their souls.

 

Roya has been recognized as one of the top 13 women in Iran and was a speaker at the first TEDx for children in the country. In acknowledgment of her creative and original style, she was awarded a Golden Visa by the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
